Rats Pest Control
Rats are very tenacious at getting into a property, even gnawing through metal to get in. Once they have gained access into your premises they can spread diseases like Weils (Leptospirosis), rat bite fever and salmonellosis. Common signs of rat activity include noises during the night, gnawing, smells and sightings. Rats will also invade your garden if there is a sufficient food source and harbourage. Total Pest Control will give the best advice to control and prevent rat activity.
Rats Pest Control Treatment Procedure
1. Rats Pest Control Inspection
Total Pest Control carry out a full survey of your domestic or commercial property to determine the pest and the level of activity. Rats commonly enter via faulty drainage systems. We offer full CCTV underground drainage surveys to help locate where the rats are entering the premises. We can then create a plan to rid the infestation in the fastest and most effective way.
2. Rats Pest Control Treatment
Total Pest Control will use various methods including traps and rodenticide to gain control of Rat activity. All rodenticide and traps will be placed in key areas such as drainage manholes, loft spaces, boiler cupboards, underneath kitchen units and understairs cupboards. All baiting points and traps are secured in tamper resistant boxes to ensure children and pets are not harmed. We take great pride in the most humane methods of control and follow up regularly until full control has been achieved.
3. Rats Pest Control Proofing
All possible entry points will be located and the appropriate proofing will be applied to prevent further rat ingress. Total Pest Control install rat flaps to protect your underground drainage system. Common entry points include uncapped drainage points, flexi hoses at the rear of toilets, air vents, gaps around pipework and gaps at the base of doors.
4. Rats Pest Control Monitor
Once we are satisfied there is no further activity and all proofing work has been carried out we will leave the baits and traps in place and follow up after 2 weeks before removing the control points. This will ensure peace of mind and that full control has been achieved.
